Letter Forms
I created the word Jessica, my name for my letter forms.
All I did to edit my photos was crop them. Also for my first letter J I rotated it, and my letter E I also rotated it. I would say my most interesting letter forms are my I(Feris) and my A(Metal Saw Holder). All of my letter forms are in color which unifies them. I love the way my letter forms came out, but if I could do this project again I would spell Lynne, my middle name. To present the theme intelligence or captivity, you could photograph in, or outside the school.
Double Exposure
What images did you select for your double exposure?
For my first photo I chose a self portrait and another photo I took which I did not put on weebly. For my second image, I used a studio portrait and a photo from patern and texture. For my third photo I used a self portrait and a photo from out of school.

Studio Portraits
Reflection: The lighting in my photos came from the sides. Some of the lighting came from the studio lights and some from the window. The lighting falls onto half of her face and the shadows create a serious look. These photos are all head shots, I cropped them this way to show the lighting. All the photos are taken from straight ahead and horizontally. The look on my face shows the seriousness.
Self Portraits
6 self portraits graded, 3 studio
Reflection: To take my self-portraits I used a tri pod, my camera was set on portrait mode with the indoor light setting and a fast shutter speed. I took these photos during the day, around noon each day and I took all of them in my room. For most of the photos I used the rule of thirds method I thought about the location of the window in my room when I was taking the pictures. I used props that I am always using or wearing. I really like how my photographs came out, these are portraits because they are planned, selfies are candid photos and these were well thought out.

Shadow and Reflection
Refection: Photo #2
I took this photo at school using the broken mirror. The Shutter Speed was set on 1/100 and it was on the fluorescent WB setting.
This photo was taken completely by accident. I made a mistake and took it without knowledge. I was looking in the mirror, posing for Bridget's photo and I took it by accident. I am being reflected in this photo, half of my face really in the shattered mirror. The picture is only the reflection, as I said before, the photo was taken completely by accident. I believe my photo is visually interesting, I think the cracks in the mirror bring a certain amount of depth to the photo. This photo represents how people really see themselves in the mirror, the mood in the photo is somewhat sad, as in depressed. As if the subject was looking in the mirror and not liking what you see.

Motion
Reflection:
FAST SHUTTER: I used the fastest shutter speed to capture the first photo of my friend Carter, which has no blur. I used sport mode on my cannon rebel T2 to capture him in perfect stillness. My point of view when taking this photo was about 20 feet away using my zoomed in lens. I was on level ground with him just farther away. I truthfully didn't consider anything when I took this photo. Carter had just fallen off the wall and I could see the emotion of disappointment in his face, I didn't think the photo would even come out well. I just happened that Carter was positioned well and he contrasted with his background.
SLOW SHUTTER: I used 2 second shutter speed when I took the last picture when we were flying over New York City. I used the night portrait mode on my Cannon Rebel T2. The entire image is blurred of the lights of the city. I was up in a plane so I don't know how high up I was but I was above the city. I just took the picture, there was nothing considered, it was a candid photo.

Painting With Light
Reflection:
For the second and third pictures we used strings of colored lights and for the first we used a light up pumpkin. My favorite photo we took is the first one. We had the camera on the twenty second setting for all three images. To create our "Paintings" we swung the lights around like a whip, except for the pumpkin, I just ran around with that. I think the photos look exciting, they look lively and happy I would say.

Pattern and Texture
REFLECTION:
Describe your best photo: My best photo was my last in the gallery; another photo from rock climbing. I was climbing and I looked down and saw how the foot holds below looked from above and how you could see the rope that was keeping me in the air on the floor and I thought it looked cool. I was above when I took the photo and the distance depends upon which element in the photo you are questioning about. This photo was taken vertically and it does not follow the rule of thirds because the main focus, the climbing holds, is down the center but my feet on the sides carry the eye through the image. The pattern in the photo is the holds below and the texture is the roughness of the wall you can see.
EXPOSURE:
The image of the corn may be a bit over exposed. The contrast between the dark and light is a large margin and the light color is very washed out and bright. I don't think any of the pictures are under exposed. I like how they turned out because of the contrast with the exposure. I believe the best example of a properly exposed photo is the last one of the rock climbing wall with the feet in the composition.

Line and Shape
REFLECTION:
I decided to take pictures at my rock climbing gym from a lying down position. I was about four or five feet below when I took the photo of the climbing rock and the belay rope. All of the photos in this gallery were taken vertically. I used the rule of thirds in most of my pictures, including my favorite picture. I tried to find and capture photography's that keep the eye moving through the image. My last photo in this group led the eye through the composition the most in my opinion because it is a climbing ladder and there is so much to look at.
